28 Akosombo Football Academy was founded in Akosombo, Ghana — home of the Akosombo Dam, a symbol of ambition and power along the Volta River. We carry that same energy onto the pitch: discipline as our current, dreams as our destination.

To identify, develop, and launch elite young footballers from Ghana and West Africa onto professional and collegiate pathways — while building disciplined, educated, and grounded young people.

A Message From Our President
Founding Class, 2026
We are a new academy — and we're building it in the open. Our first cohort of players will train under a philosophy of discipline, character, and elite technical development. Training Base: Akosombo, Ghana — our trials are held only in Ghana, and we're open to talented players from across West Africa, with a direct placement pathway to clubs in Europe. Every trophy, every graduate, every partnership starts with this founding class.

Every player's development, medicals, ECMS registration, and trial history — so nothing falls through the cracks.
Boarding
Boarding will be available for enrolled players. Details and fees are shared directly by our club secretary on request.

Based in Akosombo, Eastern Region, Ghana. All training and trials take place here and in Ghana only — open to talented players from across West Africa, with standout players placed directly with partner clubs in Europe.
